Experience

I completed my education at Harris-Stowe State College in December of 1996, however my graduation date wasn't until May 1997. I immediately started my teaching in January in the Normandy School District at Lincoln Elementary. There I finished the year as a 5th grade teacher. I then taught 3 years in 1st grade and 1 year in 2nd grade. I then transferred to Jefferson Elementary, also in Normandy. There I taught 2 years in 1st grade and 2 years in 5th grade. The opportunity for me to become a physical education teacher, so I transferred to Garfield Elementary in Normandy. I continued to teach physical education there for 6 years until that elementary closed and opened Barack Obama Elementary. I completed my time in Normandy at Obama by teaching physical education for 3 years.

During my time in Normandy, I spent many years involved in and around the athletic department. I spent 9 years (5 as head) as varsity baseball coach, and 3 years (2 as head) as varsity softball coach. I also assisted in the basketball, football, and volleyball programs as an assistant and score keeper.

I am currently in my third year in the Jennings School District, all at Northview Elementary. I must say that my time here has been very enjoyable. We have some amazing staff and students here in Jennings which makes this a wonderful place to be.

Bio

I was born and raised in St. Louis. Growing up in north county, has given my the opportunity to appreciate the diversity of our wonderful city. As a graduated of Normandy School District where I lettered in baseball, basketball, and bowling, I was given the opportunity to participate and further my passion and love for athletics. After school, I continued to my passion for sports by learning and developing my skills in golf and volleyball. For many years I played coed volleyball and still continue my love for golf and bowling. When I'm not golfing or bowling, I enjoy spending my time camping, fishing and watching the STL Cardinals.
